Love

The greatness of the prophet is the ability to hold God and humanity in a single thought. —Abraham Heschel

Hope-Net

Hope-Net is an interfaith effort to eliminate hunger and homelessness in Los Angeles by providing food, shelter and self-help assistance to families and individuals. Hope-Net was created in 1988 by representatives of twelve congregations in the Wilshire Center/Koreatown area of Los Angeles.

Throughout the year, St. Brendan members bring food items to Sunday Eucharist for distribution by Hope-Net to the poor and those in emergency situations. As a sponsoring congregation, we also provide ongoing financial assistance.
